How to Look Young Again

Being Hungry Makes You Healthy:

One Meal a Day and You'll Look 20 Years Younger

Do you think eating 3 meals a day can help you stay healthy? Now a Japanese doctor has a new discovery of what is the best way of eating. When I read Dr Yoshinori Nagumo’s story and his book, I was having a click: yes!

Famous Japanese Dr Yoshinori Nagumo.  Who is specialist surgeon in breast cancer, is 57 years old but looks 30.

What is his secret? Eat only one meal a day.

Dr Nagumo, through research and study, discovered human health issues often relate to over-eating.
Many tens of thousands years ago, humans often had to survive with little or no food. The body has the ability to a use small amount of food efficiently; to absorb nutrients, provide fuel and create fat for stored energy.

Over the last 100 years much more food has become available. Most people over-eat and many diseases have their root in this.

How much food is the right amount? That which leaves you feeling light, energetic, and comfortable. If, after eating a meal, you feel sleepy and tired then you are most likely eating more than your body needs and the food has become toxic.

One meal a day means having the main meal at lunch time. Dr Yoshinori Nagumo has been practising for last 12 years and transformed his health. In recent years he has written a few best-selling books about this subject.

book
Title of this book: Eat only one meal a day. Being Hungry Makes You Healthy.

If you like know more here is the author's homepage and blog

Maybe you’re thinking: what happens to my body if I get hungry? During the fasting state the body can activate the vitality of the cells and genes. It will start running a scan in through its 50 trillion cells and repair damaged body parts or damaged genes. This process will consistently renew the body and cultivate longevity rejuvenation.

One meal a day implies having main meal at lunch time, when the digestion is at its strongest. If you feel hunger you can add fruit, snacks, etc., so it should not be too difficult to implement.
The benefit of one meal a day:

Activates cells to repair damaged body parts
Easier to develop lean body mass and maintain appropriate body weight
Activates vitality of genes to reverse aging and help skin progressively grow younger

After a few days in this program you will began an inner health transformation:
Body odour disappears, the skin becomes smoother, a thinner physique emerges, the abdomen firms up, and the mind begins rejuvenating!
You need 52 consecutive days to finish your first course: the cells of the body fully restored, a new look from the inside out! You will have true experience of anti-aging! You will feel better and younger than you actually are, your body only needs the right food in one meal a day. Don’t waste money, food and energy to poison yourself.
I truly believe Dr Nagumo’s teaching. I have already put into to my daily life practise and I feel better. (Click here to see my one meal a day food menus) I will design more eating programs and food plans to share with people who are interested in joining this new idea of eating. There will be more information on this in the next newsletter.

How to reduce Neck Wrinkles

Prevention wrinkles is much more easier than reducing wrinkles. Apart from healthy diet, avoid sunlight, no smoking, drink a lot of water (2 liters for women and 3 liters for men everyday) and use good moisturiser for your neck, here are some simple tips to avoid neck wrinkles. It is your body positions.

  • when sleep, use less pillows. Only one pillow or no pillow.
  • sleeping position : try to sleep on your back rather than on one side. This will help prevent eyes wrinkles as well.
  • do not read any books in your bed.
  • always be in upright position, do not bend or lean your neck.

Lauric Acid

Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid which is found abundant* in coconut oil. Of which lauric acid is one unique composition of human breast milk. Human breast milk fat includes the fatty acids, lauric acid and capric acid. Lauric acid in breast milk plays a vital role to immune-compromised individuals, protect a baby's intestines from bacterial, protozoal, viral, and fungal infections.

L-ascorbic acid
L-ascorbic acid is Left-handed Ascorbic acid
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) exists as L-ascorbic acid (L for levo meaning left) and D- ascorbic acid (D for dextro meaning right).
L- ascorbic acid is the most important part of ascorbic acid as it is good for skin and body system. It promotes health at the molecular level.
L-ascorbic acid serves as a signal, relaying a critical message to collagen genes to synthesize collagen, as well as being a cofactor for two enzymes important in collagen synthesis.
D- ascorbic acid is not a good part for skin and body system. It promotes drying, itching, and burning.

Nanotechnology

“Nano” is a prefix meaning one billionth (1/1,000,000,000); more specifically, may refer to sizes of ~10-9 meters or to physical objects constructed or processes performed at the atomic or molecular scale.  Nanotechnology is engineering and manufacturing at nanometer scales; any technology related to features of nanometer scale, including fine particles, chemical synthesis, advanced microlithography, and so forth, as well as complex mechanical systems constructed from the molecular level.
Nanotechnology is the employment of molecular machine systems to address medical problems, using molecular knowledge to maintain and improve human health at the molecular scale.
The molecular nanotechnology will help deliver all active ingredients go deeper into target area. Rendering in rapid and high effect of the herbs for desired results.
Liposome promotes absorption of the active components deep into the skin, enhancing active ingredients more functional and effectively.

Neurobics

Neurobics are mental exercise, brain teasers and puzzles that enhance the brain's performance. Brain exercise to help the brain stay healthy. The term was invented by neurobiologist Dr.Lawrence Katz and Manning Rubin.

Some specific types of sensory stimuli and activities, especially those that involve non-routine actions and thoughts, produce more of those chemicals that encourage growth of new dendrites and neurons in the brain. These are generally non-routine activities. Routines become so automatic that actions are done largely unconsciously (ever get up in the morning and walk to the bathroom before you're really conscious?). Such automated or unconscious actions require less activity in the brain, and exercise it less.

A neurobic activity, on the other hand, should do one or more of the following:

1. Involve one or more of your senses in a new context.
2. Involve your full attention, at least briefly.
3. Break your routine in some significant way.
Neurobics don't need to be complicated, or require that you set aside special times. In fact, if they follow the guidelines above, many simple brain exercises can be worked into your daily life.

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disease of bone that leads to an increased risk of fracture. Bones thin and brittle, with lots of holes inside them like a sponge. Broken bones occur typically in the hip, spine, and wrist.
Osteoporosis is most common in women after menopause, when it is called postmenopausal osteoporosis, but may also develop in men, and may occur in anyone in the presence of particular hormonal disorders and other chronic diseases or as a result of medications, specifically glucocorticoids

Phytoandrogen
Natural substances derived from plants that mimic or boost Testosterone (male hormone). Some known phytoandrogen plant are Butea superba herb (red kwao krua), Eucommia, horny goat weed (Epimedium).

Phytoestrogen
estrogen-like substances derived from plants. Some phytoestrogens are Pueraria mirifica herb, ginseng, curcuma longa, soy bean etc.

Pueraria mirificaPueraria mirifica Airy Shaw & Suvatabandhu is an indigenous herb of Thailand, locally known as white kwao krua or known as phytoestrogen.
Pueraria mirifica has been found to contain many kinds of estrogens (female hormones) i.e. miroestrol, deoxymiroestrol, daidzein, genistein, genistin, coumestrol etc. Of which these unique substances having similar properties to female hormones - estrogen. Pueraria mirifica posses highest estrogenic activity when compare to other kinds of phytoestrogen due to its similar structure to human hormone. Of which miroestrol are vital for blood circulation, new tissue generation, increase accumulation of water and fat within breasts tissue, then resulting in enhancement and firmness of breasts and improve skin texture to promote youthful looks.

Red kwao kruaRed kwao krua or Kwao krua dang or Red kwao krua is a local name in Thailand for Butea superba herb.

Resveratrol
Resveratrol, an antioxidant found in the skin of red grapes.

Studies show that resveratrol can stimulate expression of sirtuins. Mice placed on high doses of resveratrol improved insulin resistance, prevented weight gain and increased lifespan by 20 percent. When put on a treadmill, the mice were also able to run twice as far and twice as fast than those not given resveratrol.

Sirtuins are found to prohibit the ageing of skin.

Resveratrol is one of the more potent antioxidants on the market (idebenone and coffeberry are others). Resveratrol has become a popular ingredient in anti-aging skin care.
Resveratrol can at least be expected to provide some topical protection against free radical damage.

Sources of resveratrol: grape seed and red wines.

Shea butter

Shea Butter also known as karite butter, is found in the tropics of Africa. A substance made from the nuts of karite nut trees (or shea trees), that grow in the savannah regions of West and Central Africa. Shea trees are not cultivated.  Shea butter is extracted from the nuts of the shea trees which begins to bear fruit after about 15 years and take up to 30 years to bear a quality crop of nuts with a high content of irremovable fatty acid.
Because of its irremovable fatty acid, shea Butter has unique healing properties and makes it far superior to cocoa butter and other vegetable butters.  Shea butter protects the skin from both environmental and free-radical damage. It contains vitamins A, E and F.

Sirtuins
the Newest anti ageing weapon.

Sirtuins are a family of proteins found in organisms ranging from bacteria and plants to humans.

According to Los Angeles plastic surgeon John Gross, MD “sirtuins occur naturally within the human body, and when stimulated they can stop the aging clock.” More specifically, sirtuins are defined as a class of seven different naturally occurring enzymes essential to the survival of cells, regulation of metabolic processes and in some cases even as a biological defense mechanism.

Thermogenesis

The metabolic process which produces energy at the cellular level in our body.  Although thermogenesis has been identified as a key factor in maintaining weight loss, it also play an integral role in utilizing the daily food and nutrients that body consumes. Thermogenesis helps the mechanisms that lead to digestion and subsequent intestinal absorption.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is also known as retinol, a fat soluble vitamin. Retinol is an active form of vitamin A.
Vitamin A comes from animal sources, it is found in animal liver, cheese, eggs, oily fish (such as mackerel), milk, fortified margarine, yogurt and some fortified foods. All of animal sources except for skim milk that has been fortified with Vitamin A, are high in saturated fat and cholesterol.
Carotenoids are dark colored dyes found in plant foods that can turn into a form of vitamin A. One such carotenoid is beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is an antioxidant.
Sources of beta-carotene are carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, winter squashes, cantaloupe, pink grapefruit, apricots, broccoli, spinach, and most dark green, leafy vegetables. The more intense the color of a fruit or vegetable, the higher the beta-carotene content. These vegetable sources of beta-carotene are free of fat and cholesterol.
Vitamin A helps maintain the health of skin, strengthen immunity from infections, promotes good vision in dim light and antioxidant activities.
Antioxidants protect cells from damage caused by unstable substances called free radicals. Free radicals are believed to contribute to certain chronic diseases and play a role in the degenerative processes seen in aging.

Vitamin E

d-alpha tocopherol. A fat soluble vitamin found in nuts, seeds, vegetable and fish oils, whole grains especially. wheat germ, fortified cereals, and apricots.

Vitamin C

ascorbic acid. A water soluble vitamin foundt in citrus fruits, green peppers, cabbage, spinach, broccoli, kale, cantaloupe, kiwi, and strawberries.

Vitamin C is known as a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants protect skin by neutralizing free radicals, which would otherwise destroy skin and its components. These free radicals are stimulated by ultraviolet light and also occur naturally in the oxygen atmosphere.
Vitamin C is the only antioxidant that has been proven to increase collagen synthesis. Formation of collagen is essential for body growth, tissue repair and wound healing to maintain healthy skin. Studies show that collagen decreases with aging and that photo-aging accelerates the decrease. L-ascorbic acid serves as a signal, relaying a critical message to collagen genes to synthesize collagen, as well as being a cofactor for two enzymes important in collagen synthesis.

White kwao krua

White kwao krua or Kwao kreu kao is a local name in Thailand for Pueraria mirifica herb.
White kwao krua is an indigenous herb of Thailand.  The herb species is only found in Thailand and at the certain border between Thaialnd and Myanmar.

Beauty Glossary H-K

Hair loss
Hair is a growth consisting of dead skin cells that are filled with a protein called keratin. Hair originates in the dermis, the skin layer just below the surface layer (epidermis). Each hair is encased and nourished by a follicle buried under the skin.

“Androgenetic alopecia” commonly referred to as male or female pattern baldness.

Loss or absence of hair is a hereditary and unavoidable condition. Most hair loss is genetically inherited, some hair loss can be cause by stress, depression, a side effect of medication, a dietary, vitamin or mineral deficiencies or hormonal imbalance or various skin and other disorders. Hair loss affects men and women. Not all hair loss is inevitable, however, nor is the decline entirely controlled by genes.

Moreover, you're likely to lose hair faster if your hair follicles become inflamed or if you get skin disorders that affect your scalp. Things you put on your hair can clog up the follicles or even kill them in some instances. Go for a pure, natural, organic shampoo.

For those with sensitive hair or skin, hair loss prevention can start by choosing the right hair care products. Depending on the structure of your hair and hair follicles, certain shampoos and conditioners will help you maintaining healthy hair. You can also keep your hair from being damaged by wearing a hat when outside in the sun for long periods of time.

Baldness (Alopecia)

Baldness, or severe hair loss, is much more common in men than in women. Hair loss can result from genetic factors, aging, local skin conditions, dietary deficiency and systemic diseases that affect the body generally. Some medications, such as those used to treat cancer, also cause hair loss.

Male-pattern baldness is the most common type of hair loss affecting men. It's rare in women and children because it depends on the presence of male hormones (Androgens), and levels of these hormones are high in males after puberty. Hair loss is inherited. Hair loss usually begins on the sides, near the front, or on the top of the head toward the back. Hair loss can begin at any age, even in teenagers. Some people lose only some hair and develop a bald spot in the back or a receding hairline; others, especially people whose hair loss begins at a young age, may go completely bald.

Variations in a gene related to male sex hormones may be at the root of male-pattern baldness, the most common form of hair loss. The culprit is the androgen receptor gene, and it dwells on the X chromosome, which all men inherit from their mothers. Other, yet-unidentified genes are likely involved in male-pattern baldness, possibly including ones handed down by fathers. New findings highlight the importance of mom's side of the family when it comes to a man's hairline.

Female-pattern baldness is less common than male-pattern baldness. Usually, this condition causes the hair to thin in the front, on the sides, or on the crown. It rarely progresses to total hair loss.

Grey Hair
Hair goes grey when melanocytes become depleted. The scalp contains a reservoir of adult stem cells that provide a continuous supply of these color-making cells. But as the body ages these cells become depleted and sometimes begin to develop in the wrong part of the hair follicle.

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
Estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) refers to the daily use of estrogen to increase a woman's hormones to premenopausal levels. Women with a uterus who take estrogen also need the hormone progestin to prevent the estrogen from affecting the uterine lining (endometrium), which can lead to endometrial cancer. The combination of estrogen and progestin is called hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Women with a uterus take HRT. Women who have had a hysterectomy to remove the uterus take ERT.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated its HRT recommendations and now only approves estrogen-progestin HRT for:
* Short-term treatment of perimenopausal symptoms. Women who do decide that HRT benefits outweigh their risks are advised to use the lowest effective dose for as short a time as possible, not exceeding 3 or 4 years.
* Osteoporosis prevention and treatment, in select, severe cases. Most experts recommend that HRT only be considered for women with significant risk of osteoporosis that outweighs their risks from taking HRT.

Women are now encouraged to consider all possible osteoporosis treatments and to compare their risks and benefits.

Hyaluronic acid (HA)
Hyaluronic acid is a natural polysaccharide which is as one important structural element in the skin and in subcutaneous and connective tissues. Hyaluronic acid is also found in the synovial tissue and fluid. Hyaluronic acid belongs to a group of very few subsances which are identical in all living organisms.
As Hyaluronic acid is a natural biotic component, widely existing in skin and any other tissue. Hyaluronic acid has been used in high grade skincare for its high plumping and moisturising effects. HA is called Natural Moisturing Factor (NMF).

Hydroxycitric acid (HCA)
Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) is a natural substance that is extracted from the rind of the fruit of the Garcinia cambogia tree, and has been extensively studied for over thirty years and found to be effective in inhibiting lipogenesis, lowers the production of cholesterol & fatty acids, increases the production of glycogen in the liver, suppresses appetite, increases the body’s production of heat by activating the process of thermogenesis, and encourages weight-loss in laboratory animals. This acid is a natural compound that is similar to citric acid found in other citrus fruits. A decoction of the fruit rind is often given in support of rheumatism and bowel complaints. There have been numerous studies lately that determined possible uses of HCA for dieters or athletes. Research with animals has found that HCA enhances weight loss by curbing the animal's appetites naturally, and by modifying their metabolism so that they have less of a tendency to convert carbohydrates to fat. Other studies have found that HCA supplementation may decrease appetite and also inhibit the actions of a specific enzyme in the liver called ATP Cytrate Lyase. This enzyme is specifically responsible for the conversion of carbohydrates to fat.

Intrauterine device (IUD)

IUD is a long-term birth control method.
IUD is a small, T-shaped plastic device that is wrapped in copper or contains hormones (progesterone). IUD prevent fertilization of the egg by damaging or killing sperm. A copper IUD may also be used as emergency contraception. The hormonal IUD must be replaced every 5 years. The copper IUD can remain in your body for as long as 10 years.

Beauty Glossary E-G

EGCG
EGCG stands for Epigallocatechin Gallate.
There are four primary polyphenols in green tea , the most important polyphenols, called catechins (sometimes referred to as tea flavonoids). The family of catechins are; Gallocatechin (GC), Epigallocatechin (EGC), Epicatechin (EC), and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). All catechins are beneficial. EGCG is the most abundant catechin in tea and is considered the main active ingredient in green tea.
Catechins were initially discovered in the 1970s, when medical researchers were looking for the reason: why Japanese in Shizuoka district, a major tea growing area, had much lower rates of cancer than other Japanese, even they were very heavy smokers. Numerous studies found EGCG to be effective in preventing and inhibiting cancer growth. EGCG converts carcinogens into benign substances.
Epigallocatechin gallate possess the most potent antioxidant activity of the catechins - yet discovered. EGCG is 100 more powerful than vitamin C and 25 times more effective than vitamin E.

Estrogen
A female sex hormone produced mainly by the ovaries. During puberty, estrogen stimulates the development of adult sex organs and the adult female breasts, hips, and buttocks. Synthetic forms of estrogen are used in oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy.

Free radicals:
Oxidants, commonly known as free radicals.

Free radicals are atoms with unpaired number of electrons, and then their chemical structures are very unstable. To gain stability, free radicals react quickly with other molecules by attacking the nearest stable molecule and stealing its electron. When the "attacked" molecule loses its electron, it becomes a free radical itself, these highly reactive radicals beginning a chain reaction, like dominoes. Once the process is started, it can cascade, finally causing cell damage. Cell disruption from free radicals contribute to aging and many chronic disease.

Ginseng
Ginseng was used in Chinese medicine as early as the first centuries A.D. It has a rejuvenating reputation in the Far East. Ginseng is efficient as a counter to skin aging. It activates the blood circulation, nourishes and stimulates cutaneous cells, equilibrates moisturizing and tissue suppleness. Ginseng is widely used in cosmetics for dermal tone-ups, to combat wrinkles and as a hair and dermis stimulant. The reputation as a general tonic. Its saponosides enable it to reduce capillary permeability in experimental inflammations. These saponosides properties can explain for its anti-oxidizing action, a free-radical restricting activity which has been proved in vitro and in vivo. Some studies also showed that ginseng has anti-inflammatory properties from its polysaccharides.

Green tea
Green Tea - one of the best source of antioxidants
Tea plant (Camellia sinensis).
Green tea is made from unfermented leaves and that it contains the highest concentration of powerful antioxidants called polyphenols, natural antioxidant. Black tea leaves have a much lower content of polyphenols because black tea leaves undergo extensive fermentation during which many of the cathechins are oxidized to darker coloured molecules (theaflavin and thearubigen).

Growth hormone
Human growth hormone (HGH) is a substance secreted by the somatotroph cells of pituitary gland. It stimulates growth during childhood and adolescence. Somatotrophin refers to the growth hormone produced natively and naturally in animals.
Presently replacement therapies with human growth hormones (HGH) have become popular in the battle against aging and weight management. Reported effects include decreased body fat, increased muscle mass, increased bone density, increased energy levels, improved skin tone and texture, increased sexual function and improved immune system function.
HGH is useful for treating growth hormone deficiency in children and adults and has several other proven (FDA-approved) uses. But the the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists has warned that the clinical use of growth hormone as an anti-aging treatment or for patients with ordinary obesity is not recommended.

Beauty Glossary A-D

Antioxidants:Antioxidants are dietary substance that protect body cells from the damage caused by oxidation from free radicals (free oxygen radicals).
Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by donating one of their own electrons, breaking the electron stealing chain reaction. The antioxidant themselves do not become free radicals by donating an electron because they are stable in either form. Antioxidants act like scavengers, preventing cell damage.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA)

An active substance with exfoliating and emollient properties. These include lactic acid, derived from sour milk, citric acid, derived from citric fruit and glycolic acid, derived from sugar cane. Gylolic acid is the most alpha hydroxy acid used for skin peels. Unlike other chemical peels, alpha hydroxy acids are not toxic to the skin.
AHA has proven to be effective in treating acne, sun spots, removing dead skin cells, lessening fine wrinkles, and improving skin texture. Studies show that alpha hydroxy acids can reverse precancerous skin lesions, which are due to long term sun exposure. Alpha hydroxy acids can increase skin thickness up to 15% in patients with sun damaged thin skin. The process is through the stimulation of collagen synthesis.

Beta carotene
A precursor to vitamin A (retinol) found in egg yolk, milk, butter, spinach, carrots, squash, broccoli, tomato, cantaloupe, peaches, and grains. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A within the body.
Orange colored plant pigments, used in the manufacture of vitamin A.

Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA)
Another name, Salicylic acid.
They are closely related to alpha hydroxy acids, in which the two functional groups are separated by one carbon atom. The difference between alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acid is their lipid (oil) solubility. Alpha hydroxy acids are water soluble, while beta hydroxy acid is lipid (oil) soluble. Meaning that beta hydroxy acid is able to penetrate into the pore which contains sebum and exfoliate the dead skin cells that are built up inside the pore. Because of this difference in properties, beta hydroxy acid is better used on oily skin with blackheads and whiteheads. Alpha hydroxy acids are better used on thickened, sun-damaged skin where breakouts are not a problem.
Beta hydroxy acid works mainly as an exfoliant. It causes the cells of the epidermis to become loosen allowing the dead skin cells to slough off, making room for regrowth of new skin.
BHA has proven to be effective in treating acne, mottled pigmentation of photodamaged skin,  removing dead skin cells and lessening fine wrinkles.
In treatment of acne, beta hydroxy acids are clearly superior to alpha hydroxy acids.
Beta hydroxy acid appears to be less irritating than alpha hydroxy acid even though it penetrates deeper into the pore.

Botulinum toxin
Also called, Botulinum toxin type A
Popularly known by its trade name, Botox
Botox is a drug made from a neurotoxic protein ( botulinum toxin) produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It's the same toxin in large doses that causes paralytic illness often linked to food poisoning. Despite its deadly toxic effect, doctors use it in very small doses to treat health problems, muscle spasms including temporary removal of facial wrinkles.

Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves. The effects last about three to six months.
The most common side effect of Botox injections is temporary bruising, pain at the injection site. Other seen side effects include flu-like symptoms, headache and upset stomach. Injections in the face may also cause temporary drooping of the upper eyelids. (Blepharoptosis).
Botulinum toxin is now commonly used in various settings for cosmetic procedures.
Botox should not be used if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Butea superba:
Butea superba is an indigenous herb of Thailand, found in the forests of Thailand. It is known as “red kwao krua” or known as “phytoandrogen” (androgen male hormones derived from plants) by Scientists. Butea superba belongs to the Family Leguminosae, subfamily Papilioneae. Butea superba has been found to contain flavonoid and flavonoid glycoside, of which scientists found that these two substances from the herb have strong cAMP phosphodiesterase enzyme inhibitory effect, which this enzyme is directly related to corpus cavernosal vasodilation. (Note: Corpus cavernosa  (corpora in plural) is major tissue of penis, responsible for the rigidity of the erect penis). To inhibit this enzyme will help promote vasodilation (blood flow) at the penis area. Thus, this effect results in stimulating aldosterone male hormones. Aldosterone male hormones are vital for blood circulation (vasodilatation) and new tissue generation, then resulting in improvement of Erectile Dysfunction, enlargement the sex organs, strengthen sex organ muscles and improve skin texture to promote youthful looks. Because of the effect of vasodilatation to increase blood circulation especially at sex organ, like mechanism of Viagra. Some people recognize Butea superba as “Natural Viagra”. It is interesting to note that from clinical trials in patients who had Erectile Dysfunction problems with additional health problems, such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, heart disease and hyperthyroidism, they responded satisfactorily to Butea superba.

Chitosan
Chitosan is derived from chitin, a polysaccharide found in the shells of shrimp, lobster, crabs and other sea crustaceans, including Pandalus borealis. Chitosan is used widely in pharmaceuticals as a base in formulations. There is also extensive research showing chitosan can be effective in wound healing, as well as having antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Chitosan is used in cosmetics for its properties of moisture-keeping, excellent membrane-forming and skin-protecting ability.
It is claimed that chitosan has the ability to remove fat from the body by acting as a fat sponge. It inhibits fat absorbtion thus help in weight loss. However , this claim needs  more scientific evidence.

Coffee enemas
Coffee enemas is a natural method used to detoxify human body. Coffee enema has greater benefits over saline enema (use water) due to the presence of caffeine, theobromine, theophylline and other components that coffee contains. These substances in coffee help relax smooth muscles, which causes blood vessels and bile ducts to dilate.
The majority of medical practitioners recommend coffee enema as a good source of body detoxification.
The benefits of coffee enemas include the relief of headaches, nausea, pain and fatigue, and cleansing of the liver and colon.
Coffee stimulates the liver and facilities in removing toxic substances from our body.  Since coffee is a stimulant, it will go through hemorrhodial vein and reach your liver directly. When the liver is stimulated, the detoxification process will speed up. Toxins, wastes and other matters will come out from our small intestines with coffee. Coffee enema will also increase the duplication of red blood cells and reduce formation of gall stones.
Recent research has shown that coffee enema is an effective way for cancer treatment. The benefits of coffee enema is elimination of constipation, diarrhoea, loss of surplus weight, improved nutrient absorption throughout our digestive system and thereby reduction in the sensations related to bloating and irritability.

Collagen
Collagen is a natural substance within body tissues. It can be injected into the skin to plump up particular areas.  Life is a string of complex molecules: polymers.  Nature's most abundant protein polymer is collagen.  More than 1/3 of the body's protein is collagen.
    * Collagen makes up to 75% of our skin.
    * Collagen controls cell shape and differentiation, migration, and the synthesis of a number of proteins.
    * When the body needs to build any new cellular structure as in the healing process,  collagen and/or collagen fragments will play a central role.

Types of Collagen
Collagen is found in the majority of organs, not just the skin. It occurs in different forms known as types. Hence, it is not enough to have the right amount of collagen in the right place - it has to be the collagen of the right type.
Type I Collagen - The most abundant collagen in the body. Found in tendons, bones, skin and other tissues. Particularly abundant in the scar tissue.
Types II, IX, X, XI - Cartilage
Type III Collagen - Common in fast growing tissue, particularly at the early stages (Phase 1) of wound repair. Much of it is replaced later by the type stronger and tougher type I collagen.
Type IV - Basal lamina (filtration membrane of capillaries)
Type V, VI - Generally found alongside type I
Type VII - Epithelia (lining of GI tract, urinary tract, etc.)
Type VIII - Lining of blood vessels
Type XII - Found alongside and interacts with types I and III

The most abundant types of collagen in the skin are I and III; their fibrils form the mesh largely responsible for the skin's mechanical properties. Other types of collagen in the skin are V, VI, and XII. They are found in much smaller amounts and appear to have a supportive role, whose details remain unclear.

Commipheroline
Commipheroline is an extract from the Guggul plant (Commiphora mukul), a myrrh plant found primarily in India. The gum of the Guggul plant has been used in India traditional Ayurvedic medicine since the 6th Century B.C. for promoting metabolism.
Commipheroline is a new trend in cosmetics technology for its super plumping effects. Commipheroline is capable of stimulating lipogenesis (fatty acid synthesis), resulting that triglycerides are formed, which deposit in the adipose cells (fat cells) of the skin. and the adipose cells are enlarged.
Therefore, Commipheroline is used in topical breasts products to enlarge adipose cells in breasts tissues. A subject study with women aged between 18 and 43 showed an increase in bust measurement by 2 cm on average after 6 weeks of daily application of Commipheroline.
And also as Commipheroline enlarge adipose cells and pad out the wrinkles from underneath, resulting that the skin becomes plumper, small wrinkles disappear and deeper wrinkles are reduced. Commipheroline is used in advanced skin care.

Curcuma comosa:
Curcuma comosa Roxb., a herb belonging to Zingiberaceae family. Curcuma comosa is is an indigenous herb of Thailand. Curcuma comosa is a special kind of herb which it has the most effects at female genital system especially vaginal wall muscles and uterus.
Curcuma comosa has been used for centuries in traditional medicinal herbs for the treatment of female problems such as vaginal dryness, hot flashes, easing menstrual pain and cramping. It can be used to help women regain normal menstrual cycles after taking the herbs. It has proven helpful for relieving hot flashes during menopause. Curcuma comosa can reduce Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). And also help suppressed abdominal pain and chronic pelvic disorders. It enables the contractions of the uterus to be more orderly. Curcuma comosa increases the effect of ovarian/testicular hormones. The herb appears to have some estrogenic effect.
